The undersea adventure of Ariel comes alive in this interactive story studio by Disney. Kids 5-9 can read along as the story of the Little Mermaid unfolds on their computer. Words are highlighted as they are read increasing reading comprehension and confidence. Clicking on certain words will change them to a synonym and some words have poems to help kids understand their meaning. But the fun does not stop there. Kids can create their own storybooks that they customize with backgrounds, characters and props. Kids type in their own words and can color and print their stories. Children can also make their own undersea music with a variety of instruments, an orchestra of undersea creatures and a choir of singing fish. Kids can design an ocean grotto then take pictures and print out Fun Fish Fact Cards. There are more fun activities like digging for buried treasure, puzzles, sing-a-longs and film clips from the "Little Mermaid." This CD is packed with fun and learning. Children build reading, writing and storytelling skills, expand their vocabulary, learn fun facts and experiment with musical rhythms and sounds.
